Honoring the family of Fallen Heroes 

Waldorf University honors Gold Star family members and their sacrifices through an annual scholarship supporting their educational and professional aspirations. 

Scholarship Details

The scholarship will cover one online degree program (associate, bachelor's, or master's). The scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to 60 semester hours or 36 consecutive months in the selected online degree program, whichever comes first. This scholarship covers tuition. Any accrued fees will be the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. Textbooks are provided to online students at no cost.

Eligibility

• Waldorf will grant one scholarship to a Gold Star family member. You will be asked to submit documentation verifying you are a family member of a fallen service member.
  • Acceptable verification documents include: 
    • An official letter from the DoD or a recognized Gold Star Family organization.
    • A copy of a certificate or documentation of Gold Star status.
    • Other supporting documentation that confirms the applicants eligibility.
• Scholarship applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Scholarship applicants must be able to maintain continuous enrollment for the duration of their degree program.
• Scholarship applicants must have an active application for admission on file at Waldorf or be a current student to be considered for this scholarship.

• Scholarship recipients must meet the minimum criteria for acceptance to Waldorf University. 
• The scholarship recipient must begin coursework within 90 days of the aware notification date.
• The scholarship recipient is required to maintain a minimum 2.0 undergraduate GPA or a 3.0 graduate GPA. 

 

Application Period

Submissions will be accepted from August 1 through September 30. The winner will be notified no later than November 30.
