Waldorf University Music is excited to host our Fourth Annual Community Masterwork Festival! This festival has been designed to offer a unique, high-quality, FREE experience to attending high school students!

  • Caccia and Chorale – Clifton Williams (1923-1976)
  • Psalm 46 – John Zdechlik (1934-2020)

Evening Concert at Boman Fine Arts Center – 7 p.M. – Featuring

  • Festival Band: Waldorf Wind Symphony, high school festival band participants, and guest instrumentalists
  • Festival Chorus: Waldorf University Choir, area community choral society vocalists, high school festival choir participants, solo artists, and guest instrumentalists.

  • 8:30 a.m. – ARRIVAL TO WALDORF UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
    • Choir Student Check-In: Boman Fine Arts Center Lobby (BFAC–225 John K Hanson Drive, Forest City, Iowa)
    • Band Student Check-In: Odvin Hagen Music Center Lobby (OHMC–106 S. 6th Street, Forest City, Iowa)
    • Busses may park at Boman Fine Arts Center - 225 John K Hanson Dr.
  • ANTICIPATED HONOR CHOIR SCHEDULE:
    • 9 a.m.–Rehearsal #1 – Boman Auditorium
    • 11:30 a.m.–Lunch – Boman Mezzanine
    • 12:30 p.m.–Student-Led Discussions (Choose 2-Will Rotate after 20 minutes)
      Boman Stage: Transitioning from High School to College – What should I expect?
      Boman Green Room: Life as a Music Major or Minor in College
      Boman Art Gallery: I’m not going to major in music, but I want to participate!
    • 1:30 p.m.–Sectionals (Boman Auditorium/Odvin Hagen Music Center)
    • 2:15 p.m.–Rehearsal #2 – OHMC
    • 3:45 p.m.–Transition to BFAC
    • 4 p.m.–Choral-Orchestral-Soloist Rehearsal – Boman Auditorium Stage
    • 5 p.m.–Break – Find holding rooms
    • 5:15 p.m.–Dinner in Boman Mezzanine for Choir Students and Orchestra
    • 6 p.m.–Change into concert attire (bathrooms available on all levels of Boman)
  • HONOR BAND SCHEDULE:
    • 9 a.m.–Rehearsal #1 – OHMC Rehearsal Hall
    • 10:30 a.m.–Sectionals – OHMC
    • 11:15 a.m.–Transition to Boman – Find holding rooms
    • 11:30 a.m.–Lunch – Boman Mezzanine

    • 6:30 p.m.–Doors Open – Tickets available online or at the door
    • 7 p.m.–Concert Begins – Boman Fine Arts Center
