Transferring to Waldorf University is easier than ever...

Waldorf University welcomes students who wish to transfer from other colleges and universities. College credit may be granted for courses satisfactorily completed at accredited institutions. The university reserves the right not to grant credit for courses where it considers the work unsatisfactory for courses taken at an unaccredited institution and to require that certain courses be taken at Waldorf.

Check If Your Credits Transfer

Please be aware that whether a class will transfer is up to the Waldorf University Registrar. Any class grade below a C will not transfer.

  • Admissions to Waldorf requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

    TRANSFER CREDIT

    • Waldorf University allows transfer credits from other accredited institutions of higher learning, training and relevant professional licenses and certificates. The University Registrar will evaluate them.
    •  Students who have earned an A.A. from an accredited institution will have their degree considered for meeting all general education core requirements with the exception of two religion courses and any specific courses required by the individual major area of study.
    • For courses to be considered, students must have successfully completed courses comparable to Waldorf courses with grades of C or all coursework earned within a major or minor must have a grade of C- or higher.
    • Up to 75% of undergraduate courses can be transferred into an undergraduate degree program based upon the degree requirements.

    RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS

    Transfer students that have earned 60 credits prior to the first day of their first semester at Waldorf are exempt from the university three-year residency requirement and are not required to live in campus housing. Transfer students entering Waldorf University with 59 credits or less are required to participate in the three-year on-campus housing residency requirement unless they meet at least one of the following exceptions;

    • Be at least 21 years old by September 1 for the fall semester and by January 15 for the spring semester
    • Be married
    • Have children living with them
    • Have lived on campus for at least six semesters
    • Have transferred in with at least 60 earned transferable credits prior to the start of the semester
    • Live at home with parents and commuting from their permanent address within a 35-mile radius of the university

    Verification and Exceptional Cases

All documents submitted for review to determine admission status are subject to verification. Applicants selected for verification must provide official high school or GED transcripts and any other documents requested by the university to complete verification. Verification may also be required if the U.S. Department of Education selects a student for verification and requests validation of high school graduation. Failure to comply with this request may result in immediate dismissal from Waldorf and the forfeiture of credits.

If an applicant is unable to obtain an official high school transcript due to natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances, the registrar or designee will review an admission petition to determine eligibility. In these cases, the student may be admitted with Conditional Status which must be approved by the registrar or designee before being moved to Accepted Status.

Please submit supporting documentation to registrar@waldorf.edu.

    Copies/Official Documents

Waldorf must receive official transcripts from post-secondary institutions previously attended in which transfer credit is considered. Students may send copies of transcripts or documents during the initial admission period and enroll as a student on conditional status. The student must provide official transcripts prior to completing 12 undergraduate or six graduate credit hours. Official transfer credit will not be awarded until official transcripts are received by the Office of the Registrar. Transcripts from universities or programs not accredited by a U.S. Department of Education approved accrediting agency will not satisfy transfer credit criteria.

All documents provided to Waldorf for admission become the sole property of Waldorf and will not be returned at any time, nor is Waldorf permitted to forward them to a third party.

    Non-Discrimination Policy

Waldorf does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, national/ethnic origin or race in admitting students to its programs or in administering its educational policies, scholarship programs or other university-administered programs. Waldorf admission is operated in full compliance with the “Statement of Principles of Good Practice” adopted by the National Association of College Admissions Counselors. Copies of this statement are available on request from the Admissions Office.

Applicants under the age of 18 are required to provide parental consent when entering into signed agreements with the university.

*Waldorf University reserves the right to rescind an admissions decision due to various circumstances deemed appropriate by the University including, but not limited to personal behavior and social conduct that may poorly reflect Waldorf University.
