FOREST CITY, Iowa – Waldorf University is pleased to announce the hiring of Alec Nys as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Coach Nys comes to Waldorf after spending last year as assistant coach and head development coach for Rocky Mountain College Men's Basketball. While at Rocky, Nys helped the Battlin' Bears to win 19 games and win a game at the Frontier Conference tournament. Nys had the opportunity to coach one first team all-conference player, two second team players, and nine academic all-conference players in his one season at Rocky.

"I am very excited to have Alec join our team this year!" said Head Coach Joel Stryker. "I have had the pleasure of working with Alec on staff in the past, and I have seen the impact that he can have. Both on the team development as a whole and in individual player development. He will be a great addition to both the Waldorf and Forest City community."

Coach Nys shared, "I am super excited to get to work in Forest City and get to know the people in the community."
