FOREST CITY, Iowa – On Monday, July 28, 2025, the NAIA released the 2024-25 Champions of Character institutions. Waldorf University scored a perfect 100 on the Champions of Character scorecard, earning the Five-Star Gold level for the third year in a row.
Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
Additionally, Waldorf University is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), which was named an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Conference for the 2024-25 school year. Criteria include an established Champions of Character Conference Committee, a conduct in competition oversight committee composed of a minimum of three members, and at least 60% of members institutions must receive NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award.
